Julia has an Associates in Applied Science Degree (A.A.S) in Dietetic Technology and Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University. A large focus of Julia's career has been working with the Veteran population utilizing trauma informed care to treat homeless Veterans and as well as provide therapeutic interventions to family members of Veterans. In addition, she has worked in multiple private practice agencies as a therapist treating an array of mental health and substance use disorders experienced by adolescents and adults. Julia understands that mental wellness is affected by a myriad of factors including nutrition, lifestyle habits, environment, familial/peer dynamics, societal expectations and one’s own thinking patterns/beliefs. With her clients, Julia explores all areas of life that are meaningful to them and provides a safe space to create and achieve the goals they set for themselves. She truly has a passion for supporting clients on their wellness journey and considers it an honor and privilege to be by their side along the way.
