While we specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and PTSD, our therapists have a deep understanding of many other mental health conditions and diagnoses.

Julia Schubert is the founder of Wholistic Counseling, PC and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience providing individual, couples and group therapy. Her professional career started in the nutrition field as a Dietetic Technician, with aspirations to become a Dietitian. On her journey, she was grateful to find her true passion was supporting others with mental health issues and made the decision to enter the field of social work instead. She has found that supporting people wherever they are in their life and watching positive changes, big and small, is incredibly rewarding and fulfilling.
Her knowledge in nutrition/lifestyle choices and interest in how it effects mental health has created the vision for Wholistic Counseling, PC. The understanding of the interconnectedness of physical and mental health and the impact on the whole person is essential to the success of clients in treatment.
Julia has treated adolescents and adults of varying ages in a variety of mental health and substance use disorder clinics. She also spent many years providing care to Veterans and their families at the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Julia has trained through the Beck Institute in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for anxiety, depression, personality disorders and has received extensive training in other modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, the Gottman Method, motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care.

Regina Ely is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 18 years of experience working with children and families. She initially worked extensively with children in foster care and residential settings. This role was primarily case work related and grew to become more clinically involved as well as administrative. The dynamics of residential service provision, made working closely with the at-risk individuals, their families and their familial supports, the center of focus and is considered the most important aspect of treatment. More recently, Regina has dually worked in direct clinical practice over the past 5 years, providing individual and family counseling services to children, adolescents and families within a local pediatricians’ office.
Regina works with children as young as 4 years old as well as adolescents and adults of varying ages. She thrives on meeting the individual where they are at, and encompassing a comfortable and therapeutic setting to engage and help her clients. Much of her focus is on development and utilization of coping skills, behavior management and confidence building to attain goals.
Regina has training in Trauma Informed Care, Child Adolescent Needs Assessments, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and use of Mindfulness Activities/Social Emotional Learning to appropriately express self and improve self-esteem.

Jeanine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s Degree from Adelphi University. With over a decade of experience, she has supported adults of all ages facing mental health challenges in both individual and group settings. She spent more than 10 years providing compassionate care to Veterans and their loved ones at the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Jeanine has worked extensively with couples, families, and individuals navigating substance use disorders, palliative care, and end-of-life challenges. She also has deep experience supporting caregivers of loved ones with dementia, terminal illness, PTSD, depression, and other mental and medical conditions.
Jeanine has received training in multiple therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and is certified in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
She believes in a whole-health approach to emotional and overall wellness. Jeanine is dedicated to creating a safe, judgment-free space where clients feel heard and supported. Using a person-centered approach, she collaborates with each individual to identify what matters most to them and empowers them to achieve their goals. Passionate about helping clients build confidence and develop the tools to navigate life’s challenges, Jeanine finds great fulfillment in witnessing positive changes—both big and small—on their journey toward a happier, more fulfilling life.

Dina is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a Master’s Degree from Long Island University (LIU Post). For more than 15 years, she has dedicated her career to helping people across New York State feel supported, understood, and empowered. Her experience spans community programs, residential, and long-term care settings, where she has worked with children and adults with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs.
Dina believes that every person—no matter their background or circumstance—has the ability to grow, heal and achieve their goals. She specializes in helping people navigate life’s most challenging transitions, including divorce, loss, family changes, medical crises, relocation, and financial stress.
Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and deeply respectful. Dina strives to create a safe space where clients feel seen and valued, helping them build on their strengths and rediscover their sense of balance. She also emphasizes the mind-body connection, incorporating techniques that support physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness.

Stacy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Master’s degree from Stony Brook University. Over the last 6 years, she has worked with individuals from ages 18-75 that have experienced homelessness, trauma, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, life events, and women’s issues. She is also certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy. Currently, Stacy works with the aging population and is a palliative care social worker who provides clinical support to patients and their families as they come to terms with a terminal diagnosis. She also has a passion for working with Veterans and first responders and/or their families.
Stacy’s approach to therapy is primarily person-centered, which means the focus is on the individual and their preferences, needs, and values guiding the clinical decisions and providing care that is respectful and responsive to them.

Kerrie Ryan is a Licensed Master Social Worker offering individual and group therapy. She earned a Master’s degree from Adelphi University and has a postgraduate certificate in addictions. Kerrie has over ten years of experience in the mental health and substance use field. She has worked in case management for those with co-occurring disorders and has experience in crisis intervention. Kerrie works with adolescents and adults with specialties in anxiety, coping skills, infertility, rebuilding self-esteem and women’s issues.
Kerrie works with her clients using a variety of therapy methods such as DBT, CBT and motivational interviewing. She believes that your medical and mental health play a significant role in overall health, and contributes to your positive mind-body connection. Kerrie will collaborate with you to develop coping skills and build self-esteem to assist with your struggles. She looks forward to working with you and supporting you with taking your next steps.

Catherine Corace is a Licensed Master Social Worker offering individual counseling to adolescents and adults. Catherine earned an Associate Degree in Human Services at Nassau Community College before enrolling in the Stony Brook School of Social Welfare, for both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree. Her primary focus was on family, youth, and the transition into adulthood. Catherine has over 5 years in the mental health field, including a role as a residential living case manager for adults with co-occurring mental health disorders, as well as experience in crisis intervention. Through individual and family counseling, Catherine assisted clients in creating a safe environment for themselves and their family members.
Catherine utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and motivational interviewing with a focus in strengths perspective to promote the client’s insight about the self, form treatment plan goals, and to support living a life that aligns with their morals and values. Catherine looks forward to building a therapeutic alliance that will assist clients in finding internal strengths to be the best version of themselves!

Michelle Ashbahian is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She earned a Master’s degree in social work from the Catholic University of America and a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Speech-Language Hearing Science from Hofstra University. She has worked with individuals caring for a loved one with dementia, post-traumatic stress, anxiety, cancer and other mental health and medical conditions; in both individual and group settings. She also has experience working with individuals who have substance use disorders and anger management issues.
Michelle is committed to helping her clients work through their challenges and gain healthy coping skills so they can live a happy and fulfilling life. She uses components
of CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing to help support the process. Michelle is also trained in CPT and has experience working with Veterans and individuals who have suffered military sexual trauma. She looks forward to working with you to help you achieve your goals.
